UNLV Writing Center

The writing center offers services and resources to all UNLV students, staff, and faculty. They’re available on campus by appointment or walk-in on specific days, to help writers improve and further develop their writing skills. In addition, if you are a student who does not have a computer due to external reasons, the writing center has a full-fledged computer lab. Located in building CDC-3, you can access computers as well as get the writing help you need!

Disability Resource Center

The DRC is committed to supporting students with disabilities at UNLV through the appropriate use of advocacy, accommodations and supportive services to ensure access to campus courses, services, and activities. We are not created equal, and UNLV takes pride in making sure you are successful on campus due to any disabilities you may have.

Financial aid & Scholarship

University is an expensive chapter in most of our lives. If you are like me, you probably still have to work 30 hrs a week and go to school. The financial aid and scholarship office helps alleviate the pain of school, on a financial aspect. IF eligible for FAFSA, they do a beautiful job of allocating you the grants you deserve. Staying in touch with them is important, and the best tip is to not show up a week before class, demanding why you didn’t get a finanical aid packet!

Tutoring

Many of us still struggle with a lot of material. Don’t you worry! At UNLV that is not an excuse. There are tutoring and supplemental instruction for almost all classes here on campus. The academic success center takes pride in having an abundance of well-rounded tutors in multiple subjects. They can be located in two locations: the LLB tutoring lab (2nd floor of Lied Library), and the Engineering Lab (located in TBE A207).
